Parent Testimonials
-
We wanted to take a moment to shout out a great big "Thank You" to the coaches and staff that were involved with the OP Juniors program this fall. The training and games were both fun and rewarding for our crew and we look forward to schooling our friends with all the new skills we have learned.
Your commitment to providing an atmosphere focused on implementing a solid skills foundation to all the participants is truly appreciated. The consistency and effectiveness of the OP staff is an asset to our experience and we are very happy to have had the opportunity to sign up with your organization again this year. We sincerely look forward to the next time we are able to workout with you and your experienced cohorts in the future.
Thanks to all -The Hubbards
- We enrolled our son Kurt in OP Juniors when he was barely 5. It was so much fun each week he couldn’t wait to go! Now a bit over a year later, he still has the same enthusiasm, but oh have his skills developed! This winter he is playing a year up in a U7 indoor league (there were no leagues for his age). He stands out on the field, not because of his size (he is one of the smallest) or the fact that he scores at least one goal per game. In a game where most young kids simply boot the ball down field, most of the time not even looking, he is the one dribbling, he is the one doing step-overs, scissors, and other moves, he’s the one with his head up, surveying the field...
Thanks Woody and OP Juniors for developing Kurt’s skills, but more importantly his confidence, approach, and love for the game.

- "Our daughter loves the OP Juniors program! She says that it’s "time to go sweat"! She has a good time and she’s learning foot skills that she can’t seem to learn anywhere else. They way they instruct the little ones is in such a way that the kids find it fun! The coaches have a wonderful rapport with all the kids. I live in another community and have other options available, but will always keep coming back to OP!"

- I am a local youth club soccer coach for over 17 years. My wife is a Childcare Director specializing in Childhood development. We weren’t the easiest couple to please when it came to our children until now. The OP Jr’s training program was everything we were wanting for our two children. From the technical training to the life lessons this program is more than we could expect. Our kids get excited for training and we get excited to watch and learn. The staff have obviously had years and years of experience in developing young players by providing a fun learning environment.

- The OP u8 Juniors was a great experience for our daughter as well as for us as parents.
For our daughter, it provided excellent training sessions and competitive games with other nearby u8 club teams in a low-pressure yet challenging environment. The format of several short 4v4 and 6v6 games gave the girls a chance to play along with and against many different players while emphasizing player development over team tactics or wins. It was her first taste of club-level soccer and to our surprise she is more excited about soccer than she has ever been.
For us, as parents, it answered many questions we didn’t even know we had. What is club soccer really like? What are the coaches like? What is the training focused on? Will our daughter enjoy the training? Will our daughter embrace the added commitment? How strong is our commitment as a family to soccer?
I know through our discussions with other parents who had girls participating in the u8 Juniors, that we are all more informed about the entire range of soccer offerings in the Dublin area than we would have been if the u8 Juniors was not available. Some of the u8 Juniors parents have decided to give club soccer a try at the u9 level, some are staying with or moving to Dublin United, and some are staying with or moving to DSL recreation. They feel good about their decision knowing that they were well informed.
